Description

The Twitch-Audio-Podcast advertising business is complex, serving many different publisher partners, consumer end points, and advertiser cohorts. We are on the precipice of scaled growth, moving to a multi-publisher tech platform, and evolving our products and selling motion to make our ad products relevant and easy to buy for all Amazon advertisers. You will help lead the strategic vision for this transformation, working with partners across product, finance, Customer Insights, Sales, Go-to-Market, and demand programs across Amazon Ads. You will also partner closely with publisher teams (Twitch, Amazon Music, Wondery, Alexa) to develop a deep understanding of our advertising supply, and form strategies for how best to monetize our publisher businesses.

Strong partnership with multiple measurement, business, research, and technology teams across Amazon is critical to success in this role. This role will require you to drive alignment and make high-judgment decisions including difficult tradeoffs with implications beyond your own teams. A successful candidate must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, be self-driven, and have the ability to deliver high quality results in a fast-paced environment. You will be considered an analytical leader on the team and an expert in synthesizing business knowledge and data across a wide variety of subject areas. You will use data analysis and your understanding of business objectives to solve complex or ambiguous problems to drive decision(s) and action(s). You analyze and own complex business or data processes for large efforts and drive continuous improvement through streamlining and/or elimination of excess process. We are looking for decisive leader who is customer-obsessed with sharp business acumen, and a track record of building alignment across functional organizations and leadership. An ideal candidate should highly analytical and be able to flex between technical programs with different engineering teams, and collaboration with research and science teams.

Key job responsibilities

1) Own demand allocation and yield management strategies WW across Twitch/Audio/Podcast supply including delivery planner partitions, allocation of supply to Premium vs RON products, and assess/quantify emerging supply and demand opportunities.

2) Metrics management - increase the accuracy and appropriateness of our reported metrics, work across existing BI/Data teams, define metrics and KPIs for emerging supply/demand/products.

3) Help identify and communicate critical business insights that inform our product roadmap and organizational priorities.

4) Work with product managers and BDT’s to identify emerging supply and demand opportunities to push the business forward. Help inform the team on tradeoffs between supply investment and demand yield.

5) Identify supply health “scores” that help our publishers understand the true monetization potential of their supply and how to increase it.

About the team

The Twitch/Audio/Podcast Advertising team is responsible for driving profitability of Amazon’s audio publishers through use of advertising. We strive to deliver an engaging, relevant and personalized ad experience to best balance the needs of consumers with those of our advertiser customers. We do this by building scalable and automated products that serve the needs of our customers.

Basic Qualifications

5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

5+ years of writing SQL queries and creating business intelligence reports using Tableau, Power BI experience

Bachelor's degree

Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights

Experience with Excel

Experience with SQL

Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

MBA

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $106,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
