Senior UI/UX Designer

Responsibilities:

• Leverage Salesforce's dedicated data model: Public Sector Solutions configuration and/or customization to build and deliver Salesforce UX/UI design solutions that meet business requirements

• Design, document, and review detailed design specifications, system specifications, and program-specific requirements to create UX/UI design solutions that balance platform capabilities and maintain a low code/no code approach

• Maintain a strong foundation in the Salesforce Public Sector data model with a 'Salesforce Public Sector First' mindset

• Participate in multiple programming activities and projects adhering to current SDLC processes and common agile practices

• Perform analysis, coding, testing, debugging, implementation, and documentation

• Create UX/UI designs of varying complexity leveraging the Salesforce Public Sector platform for desktop and mobile interfaces

• Develop integrations using Salesforce APIs to connect with other systems, including legacy systems

• Conduct code reviews for custom-developed code and make necessary technical adjustments and recommendations

• Manage organization-wide defaults, configure permission sets, establish role hierarchies, and write workflow rules

• Maintain the codebase ensuring consistency with overall application architecture

• Adhere to industry standards for ADA access by utilizing knowledge of WCAG AA standards

• Present, communicate, and document design work to internal teams and key stakeholders

• Design wireframes, prototypes, user flows, interaction prototypes, user personas, storyboards, customer journeys, site maps, and other design specification materials

• Utilize Salesforce's declarative development tools, including Visualforce, Lightning Components, and Salesforce Lightning Design System (SLDS)

• Apply front-end web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery

• Design custom user interfaces tailored to specific business needs, including custom components and lightning web components

• Ensure user interfaces are responsive and function well across devices, including desktops, tablets, and smartphones

• Manage a variety of viewpoints to build consensus and achieve positive outcomes through design

• Collaborate effectively with developers and stakeholders to ensure correct implementation of user interface designs that meet business requirements and State User Experience guidelines

• Utilize design tools provided by the State of New Hampshire

• Perform basic platform configuration (objects, fields, page layouts, etc.), create reports and dashboards, and manage data

• Produce estimates of time and resources required for various tasks as part of a team; review estimates for accuracy and completeness

• Work under DoIT management to adhere to coding standards and best practices, familiar with test-driven development and the "no code, low code, custom" approach

• Collaborate with Salesforce administrators on release cycles to deploy new functionality and updates to existing applications, objects, and code

• Align with Salesforce recommended best practices

• Take appropriate steps to protect PHI/PII/PCI

Required/Desired Skills:

• Salesforce UI/UX Development experience - Required 5 years

• Experience with Salesforce's declarative development tools, including Visualforce, Lightning Components, and Salesforce Lightning Design System (SLDS) - Required 5 years

• Expertise in setting up environments for Salesforce public sector solutions - Required 2 years

• Experience and expertise with WCAG AA standards - Required 5 years

• Experience implementing wireframes and design solutions with Adobe Photoshop and InDesign - Required 5 years

• Experience with front-end web development technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery - Required 4 years

• Experience with APEX, SOQL, creating workflows, SDLC, Agile SCRUM - Required 4 years

• Experience with Copado, SAFe Agile - Highly Desired

• Certifications: Salesforce User Experience Designer Certification - Highly Desired

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Required\n
