Building Mechanical DesignerHRT Solutions - Weirton, WV OnsiteRole DescriptionThe Building Mechanical Designer is responsible for developing, designing, and implementing mechanical systems for industrial buildings. This role requires detailed mechanical designs, ensuring compliance with codes and standards, and collaborating with stakeholders including architects, and engineers to deliver efficient and effective building systems.Key Responsibilities:Documentation and Compliance: Review and prepare technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports. Make certain designs and installations comply with applicable codes, standards, and best practices.Design Development: Create detailed mechanical designs for HVAC, plumbing, and other systems using REVIT software. Work closely with the lead Mechanical Engineer. Develop system layouts, equipment specifications, and installation details that meet project requirements and industry standards.Technical Analysis: Perform calculations and simulations to ensure the mechanical systems are energy-efficient, cost-effective, and compliant with relevant building codes and regulations. Analyze system performance and make necessary adjustments to optimize functionality.Collaborate and Coordinate: Work with architects, structural engineers, and other design professionals to integrate mechanical systems easily into building designs. Engage in design meetings and offer technical input to address design challenges and ensure project objectives are met.Project Support: Provide assistance during construction phases, including respond to Requests for Information, review shop drawings, and conduct site inspections to ensure proper installation and system performance.Qualifications:Extensive knowledge of building, standards, codes and industry best practices related to HVAC, plumbing, and other systems.Professional experience in mechanical design for building systems, with a strong portfolio demonstrating relevant projects.Experience in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, or a related field.Proficiency in mechanical design tools including REVIT software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit)In-depth knowledge of building codes, standards, and industry best practices related to HVAC, plumbing, and other systems.Strong problem-solving skills, and the capacity to do complex calculations and analyses.Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
