We’re looking for a highly creative and tech-savvy Senior Content Designer to join us. We design the User Experience (UX) with words and language for AI Platform. The AI Platform organization builds the end-to-end Azure AI stack including Azure OpenAI, Azure Machine Learning, AI Services, and the global Azure AI infrastructure for running the largest AI workloads on the planet.
You’ll work with our world-class design and engineering teams. You’ll create new product experiences, and the words you design with will help customers learn, solve their problems, and get the most out of those products. You’ll use data to understand how to improve experiences and content to help customers have the experiences they expect. You’ll gain perspective into the future and a chance to shape how that future impacts of customers around the globe.

Responsibilities
Write friendly, brilliantly clear User Interface (UI) text with language that lands perfectly within the parameters of our voice & tone principles
Design and write content for in-product experiences that help customers achieve their goals
Capitalize on multiple sources of customer data to inform your content design
Understand, employ, and evangelize our content design principles, coherence guidelines, and content design evaluation tools
Identify opportunities for content additions, improvements, and innovations and effectively pitch those ideas to the team and stakeholders
Perform functional and editorial quality assurance on content as appropriate

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND 5+ years experience working in product or service design
OR Master's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND 4+ years experience working in product or service design
OR equivalent experience (e.g., demonstrated experience working in product or service design or using design thinking to solve problems).
Preferred Qualifications:
1 - 3 years of experience delivering UX content design projects under deadlines and on time
Portfolio of UX writing/content design samples for review
Natural and inquisitive passion for technology
Proficient with Microsoft Office products
Foundational study in the UX design, Journalism, English, Creative Writing, Informatics, Communications, or related field of study
Ability to work and lead effectively across disciplines (Design, Research, Engineering, Product)
Comfortable working through ambiguity and multiple priorities
Experience mentoring other working partners and being a team player
Experience or training in Design Thinking methodology
Experience with customer research
Flexible, versatile writing across form factors, subject matter, and audiences
Ability to represent content strategy as an integral part of iterative product development
Creative collaboration and problem-solving skills
Product Design IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
