Spearhead the SEO and Editorial Content Strategy for Modern Automotive network. This role is at the forefront of our digital marketing efforts, where you will be responsible for shaping and executing our SEO strategy by optimizing technical, on-site, and local SEO, and driving our editorial content planning and creation. Your mission is to ensure all Modern Automotive Network websites and Google Business pages perform at high levels while also helping to bring to life our brand, value propositions, and unique store characteristics. As a critical player in our marketing team, you will have the opportunity to elevate our online presence, ensuring our content aligns with SEO best practices and resonates with our audience. Who You Are: We are seeking a candidate with a deep passion for SEO and content strategy, coupled with a proven track record in this domain. You are an SEO enthusiast, possessing a thorough understanding of search engine algorithms, on-page and technical SEO, and keyword research. Your creativity is matched by your analytical skills, and you are adept at identifying content opportunities that drive organic growth. You are an effective project manager and communicator, able to collaborate across the team. Your knowledge of SEO tools, industry trends, and content creation is exemplary, and you are committed to staying up to date on the evolving world of SEO and digital technology. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and Execute SEO Strategy: Formulate and implement a comprehensive SEO strategy, improving organic search rankings and driving traffic to our websites; including 17 dealer sites, 1 group site, 4 collision center sites, and 1 auto accessories site. - Technical and On-site SEO: Oversee technical SEO enhancements and on-site optimization efforts to ensure our website is search engine friendly and useru0002friendly. - Content Planning and Creation: Collaborate with team to help develop a content roadmap and calendar and strategy that aligns with SEO best practices and engages our target audience. - Keyword Research and Analysis: Conduct in-depth keyword research to inform content creation and optimization efforts. - Performance Monitoring: Use tools like Google Analytics and Google Search Console to analyze website performance, track KPIs, and provide regular reports and insights to stakeholders. - Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing team and store leads to align on direction and ensure priorities. - Stay Informed: Keep abreast of industry trends, search engine algorithm changes, and emerging SEO tools to continuously improve our SEO strategy. - Vendor and Agency Management: Collaborate with external partners and agencies where necessary to enhance our SEO and content capabilities. Requirements: - Working knowledge of Google Search Console and GA4 - Working knowledge of SEMRush, Ahrefs, Moz, Whitespark, or Zapier - Working knowledge of Google Business - Solid understanding and use of meta tags and titles and other technical SEO - Familiarity with AI LLM technology is a plus - Familiarity with WordPress is a plus - Automotive industry experience is a plus - Minimum of 3 years working specifically in the SEO world - College degree preferred, with emphasis on marketing or digital technology an added plus
