The Senior Design Manager leads the project design team,consisting of , architects, engineers, designers, and supportstaff to produce design deliverables and support constructionin accordance with the contract. Potentially functions asProject Manager on Design only projects.

Explore your tasks and responsibilitiesManage the overall project design and production process toensure compliance with Company processes and procedures withinthe stipulated project budget and schedule (including planning,monitoring and reporting)

Runs inter-disciplinary quality, coordination and spacemanagement reviews via weekly reviews with project teams toensure the project is following the basis of design.

Drives adherence to a strict change management process inaccordance with project budget and schedule.

Executes and enforces the Project Execution Plan (PEP)including updating the PEP and associated material as neededwhen project conditions change.

Forecasts adequate design and production resources areassigned to meet the project's overall cost, quality andschedule commitments as well as ensuring the forecast iscurrent in Manpower Management System (MMS)

Manages and acts as the single point of contact for alldesign related issues internally and externally, representingthe overall project in communications with the client, havingfinal technical accountability for overall project design andproduction (includes managing consultants not managed underother respective Disciplines)

Directs the Project VDC Coordination, ensuring adequatehardware and software availability for project team includingmanaging record drawings documentation, operation andmaintenance manuals and hand over documentation.

Takes a new perspective on existing solutions, uses bestpractices and knowledge of internal or external business issuesto improve products/services or processes.

Leads the work of small project teams or haveaccountability for ongoing processes or objectives.

Acts as a resource of expertise for colleagues and mayformally train lower-level professionals and officers.

Budget oversight for assigned scope of work.

Show your expertiseMinimum Required:Bachelor's degree required w/10 years of relevantexperience or 14 years of relevant experience.

Preferred:

Project Management Professional (PMP) Certificationpreferred

Professional Engineering or Architect License preferred
