Are you able to transform an existing experience through the introduction of empathy and user-centered design methodology?At UBS, we re-imagine the way we work, the way we connect with each other – our colleagues, clients, and partners – and the way we deliver value.We’re looking for a Principal Product Designer (UX/UI) in the UX Design Center of Excellence to:strategize, sketch, and design new products and features across multiple product teamsplan and facilitate ideation workshops and conduct usability testing to align the product vision and fully understand user needstranslate user requirements and research into tangible design concepts to bring a product concept to life quickly via persona creation, journey mapping, storyboarding, and other user-centered design thinking methodsfeel equally comfortable sketching and wireframing design solutions as you are making UI and data visualizations beautiful and compellingbe an advocate for our design system and help develop scalable patterns and components that follow universal design principles for accessibility best practiceswork closely with cross-functional agile team members to iteratively improve digital products and experiencesprovide mentorship and coaching to other designers on our team, as well as being a strong evangelist for the business value of design across Group Functions at UBSYour teamIn our agile operating model, the Design Center of Excellence sits within our technology area providing solutions for Human Resources and Corporate Services. You will work alongside product managers and engineers to lead the user experience design of our products. You’ll be using Figma and Miro to work in a hybrid model, pairing with team members locally and globally.Your expertiseideally 10 years’ experience designing user-centered products and complex applications, ideally in corporate functions (HR, Talent, Reward, Operations, Employee-facing Platforms, etc.)an awe-inspiring portfolio that demonstrates your design process and your ability to set an example to those around youdemonstrable strategic thinking and a thorough understanding of the product design process, from research to design to implementationa good understanding of agile methodologies and integrating design with cross-functional delivery teamsan obsessive attention-to-detail in everything you do, from storytelling and clarity of communication through to detailed wireframes and UI designsextensive experience using Figma, some experience using Miro, and a solid understanding of underlying technologies from collaborating with engineering teamsexceptional organizational skills and a passion for mentoring and leading other designersAbout UsUBS is the world’s largest and the only truly global wealth manager.
