Must provide own means of transportation. Successful completion of a criminal history background investigation is required prior to employment.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIESThis is highly responsible professional administrative work directing Human Resources activities for the Alachua County Library District. An employee assigned to this classification is responsible for all activities, operations and functions of the administrative section which oversees the Human Resources, Equal Opportunity and Risk Management Services for the District, including the supervision of staff, establishment of procedures, recommendation of policies, and development of short and long range plans for this section of the Division. The employee may assist with District-wide planning. The Human Resources Department oversees the selection, appointment and onboarding of new talent; education and management of existing talent; organization-wide policy and procedure development and recommendation; classification; compensation; and Collective Bargaining negotiations. Work is performed independently under the direction of a higher level supervisor and is reviewed through conferences, reports, performance reviews and observation of results obtained.
