OverviewWe are seeking a

RF Design Engineer

for our San Jose based group. This role provides broad support within the Design of RF/Microwave circuits including amplifiers, mixers, switches, filters, and oscillators, through simulation and modeling. You will be tasked with managing small projects with a Design Engineering team, which is responsible for design, development, qualification, transition to production, and support of complex RF Microwave, and Millimeterwave sub-systems. You will need to be comfortable working as both a project team lead as well as an individual contributor. Your knowledge will support design of our "out of this world" product lines. ResponsibilitiesDesign RF/Microwave circuits including amplifiers, mixers, switches, filters, and oscillators, through simulation and modeling, and in compliance to the CAES Design Guidelines.Build and run multistage cascade analyses.Evaluate specifications and generate test procedures; perform circuit and reliability analysis.Collaborate with mechanical engineers, designers and drafters to produce mechanical design and drawing packages under guidance of the responsible Engineer or Engineering Manager.Work with customers to create optimal solutions and develop compliant, cost effective, assemblies and sub-systems.Provide cost inputs for both recurring and non-recurring engineering and generate technical inputs for proposals.Test, tune, debug and optimize prototype circuits and components to meet specification requirements and manufacturing produce-ability requirements.Lead small to medium-sized engineering projects, demonstrating deep understanding in all aspects of a Project Engineer. Effectively manage time and engineering resources.Work with technicians on test, tune, debug and optimization of prototype circuits and components.Participate in safety training and actively comply with safety policies and practices; maintain a clean and safe workstation.Perform other related duties as assigned.

QualificationsMinimum:BS Electrical Engineering or BS Physics coupled with 5+ years' experience designing and developing advanced microwave and millimeter wave subsystems and components. This includes internship and co-op experience.5+ years' experience with Linear simulators tools such as ADS, Microwave Office, and EM simulators such as HFSS or Sonnet, or similar tools.5+ years' experience with drawing CAD tool such as Draftsight, AutoCAD, or similar tools.This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a "US Person" under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance.Preferred:BS Electrical Engineering or BS Physics coupled with 8+ years' experience designing and developing advanced microwave and millimeter wave subsystems and components. This includes internship and co-op experience.8+ years' experience with Linear simulators tools such as ADS, Microwave Office, and EM simulators such as HFSS or Sonnet, or similar tools.8+ years' experience with drawing CAD tool such as Draftsight, AutoCAD, or similar tools.Project Engineer experience.DSP experience.Experience in Spice Modeling.Salary Range:

RF Engineer III:

$108,000-$150,000 and

RF Engineer IV:

$140,000-$175,000 annually. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
