POSITION TIMING:

Position requires candidate to obtain a DOJ Public Trust clearance which can take 4-6 weeks to process and must be complete prior to starting employment.

Currently, ITC is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Audio Video Systems Engineer in the Falls Church/Alexandria, VA area. This position will provide support to all aspects of audio-visual systems and Digital audio recording needs, provide operation and maintenance of existing systems, new installations, testing new technologies, technical documentation and training end-users.

Responsibilities

Contribute as a member of the AV and Digital Recording engineering cell.

Provide end to end support and management of existing Audio-Visual systems, troubleshoot, identify issues and trends, recommend resolutions and enhancements.

Maintain a thorough inventory of AV equipment and supplies, monitor the replacement of non-working hardware.

Read and interpret construction drawings, diagrams, submittals, specifications, and Audio-visual schematics for new builds.

Install, maintain and support Digital Audio Recording software, work with databases and ensure uptime.

Build digital recording computers, ensure recording files upload to the central database, travel to site locations to perform upgrades and hardware replacements.

Oversee projects, work with AV vendors to ensure the installations adhere to industry best practices, serve as mentor and train junior administrators and users.

Perform AV system commissioning, ensure systems meet deliverables and requirements.

Provide real-time support for local and remote customers with technical issues over phone/conference platforms or in person, work with ticketing system to ensure.

QualificationsREQUIRED:

Ability to obtain a DOJ Public Trust clearance (must be obtained prior to start date).

A minimum of two (2+) years of relevant experience and deep understanding of professional automated Audio Visual systems.

Experience in leading teams of AV technicians and leading installations.

Experience working with VIQ or similar recording software and building recording systems.

Experience in terminating, configuring and knowledge of Crestron, Cisco VTC endpoints, BIAMP, Extron and other professional AV equipment.

Knowledge of audio DSPs management, control systems, video over IP.

Ability to troubleshoot complex AV/VTC/WebEx problems and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.

Understanding and working knowledge of Audio Visual systems with automated integrated VTC systems.

PREFERRED:

Ability to communicate effectively with management, providing technical material and briefings as required.

Ability to present self in a highly professional manner, maintain professional relationships with co-workers, customers, and vendors.

The ideal candidate will feel comfortable working with customers over the phone or digital conference platforms while resolving issues.

Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, demanding environment with pressure.

CTS, CTS-I.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in an IT, engineering, or network field.

5-10 years of AV experience.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Candidate must be able to function in a general office environment.

The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Regular movement around the campus of large immigration courts is required throughout the day to provide hands-on support to customers.

The person in this position must have the ability to lift and move IT equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
