This will be a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, with commensurate expectations of publication and professional activity and visibility.Anticipated date of appointment: July 1, 2025 (pending budgetary approval).JOB DESCRIPTIONDuties will involve supervising a four-semester aural skills sequence staffed by graduate assistants, including initial training and teaching model sections; teaching new aural skills courses at the advanced undergraduate and graduate levels, along with a theory pedagogy course open to graduate students in all programs at the School; and teaching other courses in the candidate’s field of interest and as needed by the department (potentially including the music theory core).QUALIFICATIONSProficiency in both fixed- and moveable-do solfège is necessary.
