The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patent preparation and prosecution with an emphasis on technology fields such as software, artificial intelligence, networking, IoT, and quantum technologies. The Patent Agent will work closely with attorneys, inventors, and clients, ensuring high-quality patent applications and legal services. This role requires exceptional academic achievement, industry experience, and outstanding writing and communication skills.Key Responsibilities:

Prepare, draft, and prosecute high-quality patent applications before the USPTO.Conduct in-depth patentability and freedom-to-operate analyses.Collaborate with inventors, engineers, and scientists to develop a comprehensive understanding of complex technical innovations.Advise clients on IP strategy, portfolio development, and patent filing strategies.Respond to office actions and manage communications with the USPTO.Conduct patent searches, draft legal opinions, and provide guidance on patent infringement and validity matters.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legal precedents and changes in patent law, especially regarding emerging technologies such as AI, software, and IoT.Collaborate with attorneys on litigation, licensing, and transactional matters involving intellectual property.Work on global patent strategy by coordinating with foreign associates to ensure proper patent prosecution in jurisdictions outside of the U.S.Requirements:

Minimum of 2+ years of experience in patent preparation and prosecution.Strong background in physics, electrical engineering, computer science, or related technical fields.Experience with technologies in software, AI, IoT, networking, and quantum systems is highly preferred.Proven track record of success working in a law firm or corporate setting.Excellent legal writing and communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines and work collaboratively with other team members.Education and Certifications:

Bachelor or advanced degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline.JD is required from an accredited law school.Admission to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is required.Admission to a State Bar is preferred.Preferred Skills:

Deep knowledge and experience with patent laws and regulations.Strong familiarity with software-related technologies, artificial intelligence, IoT, networking, and quantum technologies.Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.Ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload.Familiarity with international patent prosecution and global IP strategy is a plus.Client-focused approach with excellent interpersonal and client communication skills.Job Location:
