Our employees currently support a variety of Defense and Civilian agencies.Job Summary:We are seeking a Technical Editor to support Administrative and Executive Correspondence Management Support for CISA Front Office and the Mission Enabling Offices (MEO) and Divisions. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and experience supporting the Department of Homeland Security Components.Responsibilities and Duties:Contractor shall provide internal guidance and coordination regarding administrative functions, management controls, metrics development, standard operating procedures, and general administrative compliance.Writing and editing memos, developing spreadsheets, filing, copying documents.Preparing correspondence, briefs, and reports for review/approval by Government staff.Taking meeting minutes/notes and providing the same for government approval, distributing minutes/notes once approved.Ensuring compliance with current administrative policies and task requirements, executive secretariat guidelines, formats, and procedures; drafts responses to written requests; corrects and completes clearance documentation; and utilizes acceptable style, tone, and timeliness.Reviewing/analyzing accuracy of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and clarity of writing for proposed tasker responses.Plan and facilitate working sessions and other efforts to identify and coordinate actions to address exercise findings and lessons learned in after action reports.Organizing briefing materials and action items by preparing binders or folders for staff, leadership and/or client program offices.Applying DHS and CISA policies and procedural requirements for executive correspondence management to initiate, track, provide recommendations on, and finalize both short-turn taskers and long-term assignments with accuracy and in a timely manner.Providing procedural and technical advice, interpretations, and guidance to staff and stakeholders regarding the preparation of written materials, workflow, and clearance processing to ensure timely responses.Initiating drafts and/or editing responses to letters, memos, briefing memoranda, and other executive correspondence products using template language and standard formatting styles.Proofreading and editing a variety of documents (e.g., vague, lengthy, complex, etc.), revising content of documents to established formatting and style standards.Facilitating accurate and timely delivery of requested products, by serving as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders and providing correction or guidance to divisions and offices regarding established business management techniques.Researching and compiling pertinent information from past correspondence, reports, and recent news items and uses information to determine proper handling of correspondence subject matter.Use databases, spreadsheets, and SharePoint tools to track timeframes and progress of developing, clearing, and submitting executive correspondence documents and responses to internal and external stakeholders.Collaborates with or serves as liaison between CISA divisions and offices, staff members of other component organizations, agencies having related functions, and senior leaders to exchange and discuss information needed for composing executive correspondence.Qualifications and Skills:Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree in English or a closely related discipline.Minimum experience: Five (5) years of professional experience performing similar tasks.Currently badged/cleared to work in CISA is preferred.Demonstrated experience in SharePoint.Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, including experience in presenting material to senior Government officials.Benefits and Perks:Medical, Vision, and Dental PlansPaid Holiday and Personal Time Off401K planShort-term disability, Accidental Death, and Life InsuranceEducation and Training Assistance ProgramIncentive Plans and Referral BonusesEmployee Assistance ProgramsKymber Consulting Group, LLC is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
