Remote - Anywhere in the contiguous United StatesJob SummaryAs our Senior Learning Experience Designer (LXD), you will play an essential role in helping FranklinCovey inspire and enable learners to shift their mindsets and make meaningful behavior change. This requires exceptional creativity, critical thinking, powerful storytelling, and expert deployment of innovative, compelling activities and tools.Essential Job FunctionsBe a thought partner to the Director of Content (project owner) in early-stage research to shape the vision and content architecture for a course, including the mindset and behavior change target outcomes for learners.Synthesize subject matter research into the provocative, paradigm-shifting insights that learners can apply to their daily lives to achieve desired outcomes.Design and build transformative learning experiences with a learner-first mindset primarily for instructor-led training (live and virtual) but also in digital modalities (e-learning, microlearning, and emerging formats).Elevate our design standards using new and emerging technology.Guide collaborations with graphic designers, video producers, and a wide variety of stakeholders to conceptualize media for courses, communicating learner outcomes and design rationale to achieve a coherent, high-impact product.Review junior experience designers’ work to ensure it achieves learner outcomes and meets our quality standards.Offer constructive feedback to all stakeholders, from executives to peers to contractors.Secondary ResponsibilitiesContribute to video development and scripting.Participate in brainstorming sessions to drive innovation and creativity within the team.Plan and execute small projects independently (including project management functions like scheduling and budget tracking); large projects will have project management support.Basic QualificationsBachelor’s or advanced degree (combination of High School diploma + four years of progressive design experience considered degree equivalent).7+ years of experience developing learning experiences including facilitated live experiences.Preferred Skills & Experience7+ years of experience developing learning experiences from conception through delivery.Compelling communication in all formats—particularly writing, editing, and presentation design.Exceptional critical thinking in both conceptual framing and detailed execution.Proven collaborator with the ability to juggle lots of moving pieces across large projects.Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft PowerPoint.BenefitsBenefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, HSA, employee stock purchasing program, 401(k), paid time off, holiday pay, and more.FranklinCovey is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
