Posting Description

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, MARKETING and EVENTS, Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Lab (CSAIL) Alliances, to lead the development and execution of both online and traditional marketing strategies, as well as event management to enhance brand awareness, recruit new members, engage students, and connect with diverse audiences. Manage all CSAIL Alliances websites and social media channels (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.); oversee content creation and rotation (video and written), campaign creation, UX optimization, and event website management; experiment with new platforms and focus on communications about technology’s impact on business and society; develop white papers, case studies, research briefings, use cases, and organize conferences and other events.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field and at least 5 years of experience in communications and marketing; proven track record in marketing, events, membership development, and corporate relations.; experience in strategic marketing, branding, public relations, and communications in both industry and higher education; excellent interpersonal, relationship management, and client service skills; proven proofreading, technical understanding, analytical, and organizational skills; ability to think strategically, set priorities, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment; problem-solving and decision-making skills; experience managing a small team and 3rd party vendors; proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, content management systems, and social media platforms; willingness to travel domestically and internationally (up to 10%) and work flexible hours. PREFERRED: Experience with Salesforce, creating marketing assets in a technical setting, and familiarity with MIT. Job #24456-10 9/26/24
