Huckberry is looking for a product-obsessed, highly creative, and innovative Senior Designer to help us grow the outdoor and active brands here at Huckberry. This Designer will work closely with the Design Director and key stakeholders to create a best-in-class product assortment that captures market trends, the latest technologies, and inspires our customer.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about all aspects of the outdoor and active industry and has a keen eye for design, construction and technical fabrics. This Designer will be responsible for developing a concept for each season and following that concept through to execution across all categories. You will be responsible for continuing to drive, innovate, and push our current and new brands forward.

This role is based out of our headquarters in Austin, TX; relocation support will be provided to a remote hire.

Responsibilities

Drive the product design process from start to finish including across all categories; concept, fabric development, lab dip selection, sketching, tech packs, proto review, fit review and final approvals for our House Brand activewear categories

Collaborate with PLM and Merchandising to create a best-in-class assortment that resonates with our customer with support from data and market trends

Continue to push and innovate the product offering through best in class fabrics and trims

Partner with the Product Development & Production team to ensure design vision is executed while hitting key milestones and metrics like delivery and gross margin

Lead weekly fittings with Technical Design to ensure fit, quality, and construction standards meet internal standards

Lead the company in market, product, fabric, and trend research for active and outdoors

Work with leadership and key stakeholders to shape the long-term vision and strategy of our activewear brands

Requirements

5+ years of experience in designing men's apparel

BA, BFA, or BS in Design (or equivalent) required

Men’s active or outdoor experience and passion required

Extremely well versed in activewear construction, fabrics, and trims with a pulse on new market innovations

Highly creative and driven and able to stay extremely organized in a fast paced environment

Experience in crafting the design vision for multiple categories and brands

Deadline driven and obsessed with the details

Strong communication skills and experience working with international vendors

Highly proficient at Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD, and working in PLM

Excellent team player with the ability to provide direction, take feedback and work with minimal supervision to ensure all deadlines are met
