Interested in learning more about this job Scroll down and find out what skills, experience and educational qualifications are needed.Director, Finance Employee Communications As Director, Finance Communications, you will be responsible for leading and implementing effective internal communications strategies for Finance Communications along with leading the Finance Communications team in Corporate Communications. You will be responsible for partnering with multiple stakeholders across the organization to ensure the delivery of strategic and integrated communications programs. Additionally, this role will be responsible for elevating the Chief Financial Officer of Capital One through a proactive thought leadership strategy.Our ideal teammate is:Inspired to be a transformational change agentA storyteller who uses his/ her communications strength to inspire and move othersPassionate about leading and inspiring direct and cross-functional teamsAble to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyA passionate and driven team playerA creative problem solverKey Responsibilities:Serve as head of Finance Communications, developing and implementing an effective, comprehensive employee-facing communications strategy for the Chief Financial Officer at Capital OneServe as a strategic communications advisor to Finance executive leaders with the ability to flex between consulting for different executive leadersEnsure that communications tell an articulate, consistent story about business priorities with a strong voice and in the right channels; inspire confidence in Finance’s leadership and business strategy; and help the business achieve their targeted resultsEnsure all messaging and communications strategies are focused, accurate, and aligned within FinanceEffectively partner with Finance HR Consultants, Finance Chief of Staff office, Finance executive team and other line of business communicators to ensure desired communications outcomesLead a data-driven approach to engage associatesLead, manage and grow a team of communicators - both direct and indirect reportsThe Ideal Candidate will possess:Experience in leveraging data insights to develop, nurture and refine compelling creative ideas and conceptsStrong presence with the ability to lead tough conversations, navigate complex organizations and influence decision makingStrong writing, oral and verbal communications skillsBe bold in approach and creative executionInnovative thinker with a curious mind and an appetite for exploring the "gray space" between marketing and communications to tell impactful storiesExpert knowledge in the latest internal communications channels and how to best leverage for communications programs as part of the overall strategyBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or military experienceAt least 7 years of Communications, Marketing, or Public Relations experiencePreferred Qualifications:Masters Degree in Business, Mass Communications, Education, Marketing/Public Relations, Journalism or English10+ years of experience in developing and implementing business communication and organizational change management strategies, plans and deliverables5+ years of experience in creating and executing strategic and creative communication campaigns for organizations
