Design Assistant

DESIGN ASSISTANTMonday is looking for a budding designer who is team and detail-oriented, passionate about their craft and highly organized. Reporting to the Design Director the Design Assistant will be responsible for supporting the Design team in all their needs. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams including Tech and Production to ensure we are creating a quality product. This role is vital in keeping all teams on track with day-to-day responsibilities and will have the opportunity to contribute to collections across multiple categories. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment with a strong love for design and product.EXPERIENCE / SKILLS:1-3 years of fashion design experience required.Must have knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.Experience in excel and PLM / Backbone is a plus.Google Drive knowledge a plus.Basic understanding of tech packs.Passion and eye for design.Strong organization skills and attention to detail.Ability to clearly articulate a point of view.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure, must be able to multitask, prioritize work.Ability to adapt to new situations quickly.Must have a Laptop or home computer.Must be organized and detail oriented.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Team player with an eagerness to learn.RESPONSIBILITIES:Manage and keep all design materials organized.Execute specific design development projects and research as assigned by the Design Director.Contribute seasonal inspiration design meetings.Create and communicate development /submit comments for vendors.Help Developer check in / log all samples and hand off to tech.Attend all design related meetings and fittings and take notes when needed.Assist design team in any and all needs required.Review all development samples and lab dips with Designer and assist with submissions of comments.Create and manage initial development charts for each season / category.Start initial BOM process in Backbone.Assist in sketching all new designs and design sheets for each category.Maintain and manage linesheet updates and requests as needed.Communicate with design, production and vendors regarding changes/updates in all stages of costing/sample development.Work closely with tech and design departments to ensure all information is communicated to our factories clearly.EDUCATION:

High School Degree / Associates / Bachelors in Fashion DesignYEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
