Overview

Pyramid is seeking a talented Mainframe and UI Tester who is detailed oriented, analyzes requirements, understands SDLC process, conceives solutions, develops software, creates, and executes test scripts to meet the operational needs of the company.Responsibilities

Evaluates and conforms with government testing guidelines, analyzes system or individual functional needs, itemizes requirements, determines the potential impact on other systems or functions, and conceives software solutions and/or processes to meet those needs.

Performs Mainframe and UI Testing with users and stakeholders as needed.Create test scenarios and analyze test results and document them.Utilize experience invalidating reports and dashboards that are reading data.Execute activities applying understanding of COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS Web Services (CWS), ColdFusion, Java, and JavaScript.Develops and executes accurate and concise unit and integration test scripts.Ability to adjust, manage and prioritize multiple tasks per client's needs at any given time.Setup, Create, maintain, and perform test automation frameworks on multiple application platforms.Identify bottlenecks and thresholds in existing functions while performing testing.Qualifications

5+ years of experience Mainframe and Open Systems/UI TestingSolid knowledge and hands on experience of Development Life Cycle and System TestingHands on experience of Endevor and File ManagerExperience developing timely and accurate status reports, including time reporting and adherence to level of effort (LOE)Solid understanding and experience with the following are required:

Knowledge of designing mark up, developing the UI of websites and/or web applicationsDemonstrated understanding of UX and UI design with an emphasis on maximizing usabilityIMS, CICS, Decoding Fault Analyzer experience will be a plus.Should be well organized and detail oriented as well as possessing good written and oral communication skills.Works independently and handles multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and at the same time collaborates with the team to help achieve the workflow process for software deployments.Knowledge of cloud platform testing will be a plus.Education:Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent relevant academic qualifications.
