With our historic growth, it is an exciting time to join our team of employee-owners.This opportunity entails being responsible for assisting assigned department by performing engineering-related tasks including research, development, calculations, design and delivery on assigned project(s). Leverages technical knowledge to assist in the execution and evaluation of project designs. Develops conceptual and detailed designs and calculations to support the project execution using current drawing and technical tools, programs, and software.What You'll Do:Responsible for verifying the accuracy of drawings, compatibility of work across disciplines and for checking detail and quantity calculations.Calculates design data, prepares layouts, detailed specifications, estimates, reports, etc.Assists in preparing engineering studies and evaluations involved in the development of projects from initial concept to the design stage, with the assistance from the project engineer/architect.Attends project and pre-construction meetings and provides input to ensure proper policies, procedures, and specifications are followed.Responsible for resolving technical design problems that may include performing field investigation or inspections, detailed design work and data.Performs general administrative assistance by maintaining complex project plans and leading teams of junior technicians and engineers.Calculates quantities and performs engineering related computations.Performs other duties as assigned.What You'll Need:Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology or related field and 6 years of relevant experience, orAssociate's degree in Drafting or related field and 8 years of relevant experience, orIn lieu of education, 10 years of related experience.What You'll Bring:Ability to work effectively and participate in working relationships with clients and sub-contractors.Ability to work from minimal design sketches and produce significantly complete plans with minimal supervision.Proficient in CADD Design software such as Power Inroads ss2/Power Geopak ss2/Microstation v8i ss10 or later, Connect Open Bridge Modeler, Connect Open Roads Designer and/or Connect Open Bridge Designer is required.Proficiency with the terminology of bridge design and drafting, with bridge and/or railroad detailing practices including rebar and quantity calculations.Ability to express your ideas and questions clearly when discussing design with your team.What We Prefer:Good time management skills.Good communication skills to include the use of remote technology to collaborate and train.Experience with 3D modeling.Leadership skills.Familiarity with bridge engineering practices.Additional InformationVisa sponsorship is not available for this position.Locations:
