Associate Producer, True Crime

To help fulfill this mission, we’re seeking a sharp and highly motivated Associate Producer of True Crime Content to join one of our growing Vertical Content teams. Success in this role requires an equally creative and analytical brain as you will be supporting your team in a variety of functions from creative development to content creation to digital publishing to content performance reporting.

Attend daily Content Strategy Sessions, contribute ideas, and report digital content plans to your team
Monitor assigned social handles to ensure adherence to publishing recommendations in terms of copy, cadence, and creative
Prepare recurring content performance reports, and relay data to formulate strategic content plans aimed at growing the audience and increasing engagement
Track social media trends, and actively contribute content recommendations to your team
Create content for distribution across all social platforms as needed which may include creating graphics, locating archive content, writing and/or editing
Troubleshoot any and all issues within the Sinclair digital ecosystem and with all social platforms
Minimum Qualifications:
2-3 years of experience in social media strategy and content creation for a media organization or brand (direct newsroom experience highly preferred)
Exceptional knowledge of all aspects of social media platforms including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok
Experience creating performance reports using social media analytics platforms (i.e. Sprout/Hootsuite, Google Analytics, Crowd Tangle, etc.), and ability to articulately translate that data into actionable plans
Must have a highly curious mind, possess the ability to spot trends in social media, and the skills to create engaging digital content
Must be highly motivated, extremely organized, and come to the position with a digital-first mindset
Must be comfortable with ambiguity and change that may come about as our team evolves over time
Late-night, early-morning, weekend, and holiday work may occur depending on the news cycle
Must have impeccable communication skills and enjoy working in a team atmosphere and among people with varying experience levels and opinions
Must be able to meet hard deadlines
Knowledge of newsroom systems including Avid, Edius or Adobe Premiere editing systems and Inews or ENPS preferred
Must adhere to AP Writing Style
Understand the urgency of breaking news
