The studio specializes in the design of laboratories, clean rooms, manufacturing facilities, data centers, and high-performance workplace environments, for clients working in the life sciences, electronics, mission-critical, education, and medicine.
With 180+ staff, they provide programming, master planning, building, and interior design services, including laboratory, cGMP, and medical planning, to new and established companies, institutions, developers, and healthcare providers. Office locations include Mountain View, San Francisco, Sacramento, and San Diego.
Role Requirements
Individuals that are passionate about Building Design, driven, and looking for an opportunity to join a highly creative team are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will have experience with entitlements and San Diego coastal issues. The successful candidate will possess a good foundational understanding of technical building planning is preferred for instant contribution, but the team is also open to someone eager to learn. Good presentation skills.
Qualifications
Bachelor with a Master’s Degree preferred in Architecture
Minimum of 7 years of work experience,
California License preferred
Fluency in 3D modeling and graphics software
Strong Presentation skills
Broad understanding of Construction, Structural, and Building Service Systems
Broad understanding of Building and Municipal Code
Conversant in Architectural history and contemporary theory
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Exceptional organizational skills
Ability to work effectively on multiple projects and maintain deadlines in a team environment
Experience/Portfolio in Technology Orientated / Life Science Buildings preferred
Job Description
Work alongside the Design Principal and team in developing conceptual and schematic design work suitable for Client presentation
Participate in internal Design reviews and Client presentations
Contribute to the design culture of the firm and actively participate in mentoring staff
Flexibility to work on short deadlines and occasional travel
The studio is seeking high-energy, creative, well-rounded people with a desire to collaborate/communicate and create innovative design for their prestigious clients throughout California.
