Full Time JobArsenal Creative is looking for a Color Assistant to join our team. The assistant will be working closely with the Colorist, Flame Artists, In-house Producers, and the surrounding staff to ensure client requests are met. The assistant's primary responsibilities will be to develop an understanding of the Colorist's technical and creative processes and provide support with the running of a color session. Applicants should have strong aesthetic sensibilities while maintaining a technical knowledge of the whole post-production process.
Primary Responsibilities :
Handle data managementConform and prep edits for color sessionsCommunicate with editorial about EDL and offline prepFacilitate any editorial changes and colorist needs while in sessionRendering and posting of QTs and stills for client approvalRender all graded materialsQC session rendersCommunication with the Colorist, Editors, In-House Producers, and Engineering to problem solveMaintain and develop digital workflows
Job Experience Requirements :Two years' experience as an Assistant ColoristCritical thinking and problem-solving skillsIn-depth knowledge of one or more of the following platforms: Baselight, Resolve, NucodaIn-depth knowledge of color workflows and technology: HD, UHD, 4K, Dolby VisionKnowledge of file formats, codecs, color space, etc.Basic knowledge of Avid, Flame, and Terminal CommandsAbility to multitask and prioritize while paying strong attention to detailExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to maintain a positive attitude while working in a fast-paced environmentCurrent with trends in technologyFlexible hours to work around client and studio needsAbility to deal with clients and job requests unsupervised
Post Production Background :4-5 years' employment in Post ProductionBaselight, Resolve, Nucoda working knowledgeFile-based workflow experience
