Job Description
We are hiring an experienced UI/UX developer interested in working 10-15 hours a week on a start-up B2B software project for our client. This may develop into a full-time role depending on the progress of the product.
This role is open to candidates who are residents or who are eligible to work in either the USA or India. Candidates who already possess an H1B visa and are eligible to work on a concurrent H1B visa are welcome to apply. Freelancers are also welcome to apply.
We are looking for a UI/UX Designer who can communicate comfortably with both the client, the product owner, and the development team. The candidate must have experience with design software and wireframe tools. The design focus will be a mix of formal, elegant, artsy, and young, while also being intuitive and easy to navigate for novice users who do not regularly use business applications. Ultimately, you’ll create both functional and appealing features that address our clients’ needs and help them grow their customer base.

Responsibilities
Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers
Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps
Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs, and widgets
Build page navigation buttons and search fields
Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like
Create original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches, and tables)
Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors, and images
Qualifications
Requirements and skills
Proven work experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role; ideally for B2B application initiatives
Portfolio of design projects
Knowledge of wireframe tools
Strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
Good time-management skills
Ability to work with a co-located team; various time zones and different work hours.
Availability for full team meetings on 1 to 2 Saturdays per month
Mission-minded; Focus on driving value for the client
Additional Information
This is a remote position.
This is a part-time position, expectation is to work 10-15 hours a week with occasional weekend work.
U.S. or India locations are preferred
W2 or Freelance
