We are a teaching institution specializing in online higher education committed to inclusive teaching and learning.Job DescriptionOverview of OASISWalden University's Office of Academic Support and Instructional Services (OASIS) provides academic support, instruction, and resources for Walden undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students. OASIS staff members collaborate to connect students with flexible, seamless academic support where and when they need it.Opportunity at a GlanceThe Educational Media Specialist will produce high quality, innovative content for students. This role will support the development of content across the university, working closely with key stakeholders to develop instructional visual images and multimedia components. The successful candidate will stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in instructional media to create effective learning content for online adult learners.ResponsibilitiesWorks closely with teams to create original video, audio, motion graphics, and other media to meet pedagogical objectives.Collaborates with key stakeholders to create instructional material in an engaging format; provides expertise and assistance as needed.Identifies best media approaches during the development process.Utilizes the asset management system for content searches and maintenance.Applies style and formatting guidelines, ensuring logic and consistency among media elements.Provides technical enhancement for finishing and mastering media.Utilizes artistic techniques to enhance program assembly.Determines the need for additional media assets based on project needs.Assists on special video projects for various departments or clients.Ensures timely delivery of assignments with exceptional quality.Participates in team meetings, maintaining clear communication with team members.Stays current with the latest hardware and software technologies.Required for all JobsPerforms other duties as assigned.Complies with all policies and standards.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Electronic Media and Film or Related Field - Required3+ years experience in video-based media creation, digital product design, and audiovisual editing - RequiredExperience editing educational media - PreferredExperience with Media Asset Management systems - PreferredKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesAbility to apply best practices during media and course development.Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.Proficiency in Adobe Character Animator, Adobe Captivate, and Adobe Dimension.Ability to modify After Effects templates.Thorough knowledge of Microsoft's Office suite.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to learn new software quickly.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments.Works with minimal oversight to complete assigned media projects.Adapts to rapidly changing project timelines.Additional InformationIn support of pay transparency laws, the expected salary range for this position is between $53,520.90 and $93,918.96. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors.
