Big-data biology requires innovations in data analysis and visualization to catalyze interpretation and discovery. We are seeking a multi-disciplinary Bioinformatics Data Scientist (Systems Biology and Data Visualization) to develop scalable bioinformatics pipelines, pioneer novel methods for multi-modal data analysis (clustering, network analysis, machine learning), and build data visualization solutions and web portals. The candidate will work closely with data scientists, software engineers, and experts in genomics and cell biology in a team-science environment.This is a great opportunity for candidates with a passion for both the quantitative analysis of big datasets and the development of compelling data visualization platforms.You will

Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of data scientists, software engineers, and experts in genomics and cell biology to pursue audacious, important scientific challenges.Pioneer novel methods for multi-modal data analysis (clustering, network analysis, data embedding, modality fusion, etc.) and develop new data visualization solutions.Develop scalable data pipelines for large, state-of-the-art biological datasets and prototype web-based data portals.Author publications and openly disseminate research discoveries to the scientific community.You haveEssential –

D. or equivalent experience in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Genomics, or a related discipline and a working knowledge of Cellular Biology.A minimum of 3 years of experience analyzing large biological datasets (ex. genomics, proteomics, imaging) and 2 years of experience building data visualization solutions.Passion for systems biology and open-source software.Familiarity with professional software development best practices (testing, documentation, version control, etc.).Familiarity with at least one web portal development framework/tech stack.A collaborative, team-focused mindset coupled with outstanding communication skills, and ability to work in an agile environment.Good data science practices and data intuition for biological high-throughput data.Nice to have -

Experience with tech stack tools such as Nginx, PostgreSQL, Django, React, npm.Experience with training and fine-tuning self-supervised deep learning models.Experience with API development.Compensation

Bioinformatics Data Scientist I = $108,000 - $148,500.Bioinformatics Data Scientist II = $124,000 - $170,500.What We Provide
