In this pivotal role, you will be an architect in creating and continuously improving our learning products to enhance the performance of our operational leaders and their teams. Using your expertise in learning theory, instructional technologies, and human performance, you will oversee and directly contribute to instructional design projects that deliver exceptional user experiences and faster proficiency gains.This includes performing in-depth needs assessments to identify clear learning objectives with key stakeholders, designing and rapidly iterating on highly engaging, interactive instructional content (such as live simulations and case studies), and developing robust knowledge and performance assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of your training solutions.If you are a high-quality learning developer who is excited to push the boundaries of what's possible, we invite you to join our exceptional Design team at Amazon.Key job responsibilities

Own the end to end development of Learning experiences for a variety of customers within Middle Mile Transportation. Modalities to include, ILT, vILT, blended, interactive e-learnings, videos and job aides.Partner with business stakeholders to understand program goals and define the learning solution that will make their programs successful.Be able to work creatively through and around perceived limitations and/or challenges imposed by the delivery platform to create delightful experiences for customers.Lead large, cross functional design projects. Examples could include a specific tool or service that supports many disparate areas of a site or product line.Proactively mentor and develop other Designers.Effectively present work to all levels of leadership.Manage your projects amidst ambiguity, competing priorities, and challenging deadlines.Travel may be required up to 10%.About the team The OELS design team crafts engaging and impactful learning experiences for Relay Carriers, Drivers, and Amazon employees across Transportation Operations Management (TOM), Middle Mile Process Management (MMPM), and Regional Operations Centers (ROCs). The team analyzes learning needs, designs customized content and materials, and develops interactive learning experiences leveraging the latest educational technologies, learning modalities, and adult learning principles. To ensure the effectiveness of the training, the team has established four key metrics: Learner Satisfaction (LSAT), Net Promoter Score (NPS), Learner Confidence, and Knowledge Retention. We use this data, as well as job performance improvements and entitlement, to measure the impact and drive continuous improvement of the learning experiences. This data-driven approach allows the team to consistently refine the learning experience offerings and maintain quality for customers. Additionally, the team has implemented a robust curriculum development process to ensure consistency, build trust, and continually enhance the quality of the training.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

3+ years of design experienceBA or BS degree in a relevant field such as instructional technology, educational technology, organizational development or 3+ years of relevant experience in instructional designExperience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvementsExperience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teamsDemonstrated experience designing and developing training materials in all modalities, including ILT, eLearning and video.Demonstrated working knowledge of the eLearning authoring tools Storyline360 and Articulate Rise.Demonstrated adult learning implementation and experience driving performance through impactful training.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master’s Degree in a related discipline (instructional design or adult education)Have an available online portfolioIndustry certifications in instructional design, curriculum development, performance improvement, project management, or content-specific certifications as appropriateProject management experience including planning work, managing details, keeping multiple tasks/projects on track, time management, and doing whatever it takes to deliver resultsExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilitiesAbility to influence and partner with different levels of the organization to achieve resultsAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
