This role is a key part of our Digital Experience Program aimed at enhancing digital experiences for our families and staff. The ideal candidate is a strategic problem solver with strong operational leadership skills and a deep understanding of UX/UI design principles and user testing methodologies.As KinderCare's UX/UI Design Team Manager, you'll lead a team of two designers and agency resources, while coordinating design projects, collaborating closely with product management, ensuring the delivery of optimal design solutions and user testing.RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead and mentor a team, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.Coordinate external resources, ensuring alignment with project requirements and timelines.Allocate resources, distribute workload, and project staffing to optimize team efficiency and productivity.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, to define design strategies and project goals, aligning design initiatives with business objectives.Lead the development of user-centered design solutions, including persona development, journey mapping, information architecture, interaction design, and wireframing/prototyping.Oversee the creation of visual assets, graphic design, layout design, and UI components/patterns, maintaining a cohesive and intuitive user interface.Supervise testing processes, including usability testing, user feedback sessions, and iterative design validation.Implement methodologies and tools to streamline design processes, optimize workflows, and improve team collaboration and efficiency.Qualifications:

4+ years in UX/UI design, with 2+ years in a leadership or management role.Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.Proven track record of delivering high-quality design solutions that meet user needs and business objectives.Deep understanding of DesignOps principles and best practices, with experience implementing operational improvements and optimizing design processes.Experience conducting user research, including qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, and overseeing testing processes to gather user feedback and validate design solutions.Proficiency in design tools and technologies, including UI design software, prototyping tools, and collaboration platforms.Ability and appetite to lead and engage diverse and equitable teams.Our benefits meet you where you are.
