Position:

Full-Time, Non-exempt, Associate

Reports to:

Creative Arts Pastor

Role:The Technical Director has a heart to see people of all ages come to know the love of Jesus and share that love with others as they grow into mature followers of Jesus. They are responsible for managing the audiovisual and technological functions of the Severns Valley Campus. Their duties include assisting in analyzing the media production budget to determine strategies for using technology within the church, coordinating equipment purchases, and executing project plans.

Responsibilities:Media | Production:

Audio Engineer - Main mixer for Sunday morning services and outside events.

Venue System Management | Weekly Maintenance - Manage Equipment installation and system configuration across all venues.

Maintain all systems and coordinate equipment plans with Creative Arts Pastor. Systems include audio, lighting, and video.

Staging | Programming - Weekly setting up and tearing down different needs for services or events.

Program media production equipment to execute services or events.

IT:

IT Management - Printers, Computers, Network SSIDs, VOIP Phone System

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

A committed Christian living in accordance with the Word of God whose moral character models the Christian lifestyle.

A member of Severns Valley Baptist Church.

A student of and has a commitment to God’s word.

Ability to be flexible, teachable, and sensitive to God’s leadership.

Willing to be a servant.

Highly self-motivated, organized, and committed to humble servant leadership.

Has an ability to build and lead a team.

Highly organized and efficient with time.

A people person.

Has the ability to coordinate with outside contractors.

Skill Requirements:

Leadership

Organization/Administration

Google Suite

Planning Center Administration

Basecamp

Advanced knowledge in live sound mixing and system routing.

Advanced knowledge of media equipment and its applications in a church setting.

Preparation Requirements:

Undergraduate degree in an appropriate field (Seminary preferred)

Appropriate ministry experience
