This role is responsible for hands-on content management, web development, optimization, QA, and ongoing maintenance. You’ll work with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Creative, Product, Corporate Partnerships, and Engineering, to ensure the website meets business objectives, supports campaign efforts, adheres to SEO and WCAG compliance, and delivers a seamless user experience aligned with Chime’s brand standards.
The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $82,620 and up to $114,800. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
In this role, you can expect to
Oversee content management and development of web pages using a CMS platform, handling the production, editing, optimization, and maintenance of various content types, including components, templates, and media assets.
Effectively manage and prioritize multiple web requests of varying complexity from intake through publishing. Define the project scope, implementation strategy, and technical feasibility, while ensuring timely execution from concept to publishing.
Collaborate closely with content creators, designers, and engineers to execute web projects that align with stakeholder objectives and goals. Leverage information architecture best practices, creativity, and user experience principles to deploy web updates using various system platforms and coding methods.
Provide continuous training and guidance to cross-functional teams on effectively using the CMS, ensuring adherence to web publishing guidelines and standards for consistency, usability, and performance.
Conduct comprehensive QA, proofreading, and template testing to meet usability and user experience requirements. Ensure compliance with SEO principles, web standards, and accessibility. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to content publishing, layout inconsistencies, or functionality.
Evaluate and establish effective CMS content architecture and taxonomy, ensuring adherence to best practices for naming conventions and content structures.
Utilize complex web components, including schema, metatags, database publishing, and analytics tracking, to enhance site functionality and data integration.
Drive improvements in CMS processes and contribute to functional testing and documentation. Identify and resolve CMS-related issues, while providing training and support to other users to ensure smooth content management operations.
To thrive in this role, you have
2-5 years of experience in web production, digital content management, and/or marketing, preferably in tech, consumer finance, or innovative consumer brands.
Advanced expertise in WordPress or similar CMS platforms, with experience managing large, complex content libraries.
Strong understanding of UX and SEO principles, with a focus on optimizing web performance and enhancing user engagement.
Detail-oriented with experience in content QA, proofreading, and functional testing.
Solid project management and organizational processes, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication skills, able to interact with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with knowledge of debugging tools and software.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Jira, and Scrum is a plus.
