In this role, you will collaborate with internal and external teams to design high quality, cost-effective solutions for Amazon Robotics. You will own multiple projects simultaneously, from concept realization through design approval. You will be a primary point of contact for your projects and directly interface with our robotics hardware engineering teams.You will work with a team of highly skilled and highly engaged Industrial and UI Designers, Ergonomists, Researchers, and Human Factors Experts to deliver on great User Experience across a wide variety of robotics systems.Key job responsibilities:Utilize human-centric thinking and impactful aesthetic sensibility to align with customer needs and preferencesThrive and be passionate about innovating new to the world products under ambiguityDemonstrate great design advocacy communication and collaboration skills with cross functional teamsExcellent organization skills and ability to define, track, and guide multiple design programsDesign for manufacturing considering cost, scale, brand, and usabilityBecome a subject matter expert on the intersection of robotics, user experience, and industrial designSet up contracts and work with external vendors and/or manufacturers and ensure quality and design intent are maintainedProduce concept sketches, 3D Renderings, and prototypes ranging from quick low fidelity models to high fidelity cosmetic or functional prototypesExecute and deliver CAD surfacing/parametric modelsOwn and deliver Design Guidelines and other mechanisms (incl CMF documents) for infusing human-centered design at scaleResearch new materials and manufacturing methods applicable to our range of productsExport Control Requirement:

The base pay for this position ranges from $141,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $244,600/year in our highest geographic market.
