Job DescriptionThe Global Media Transformation Senior Director is part of the Global Content Strategy, Development & Distribution team, reporting to the VP of Content who reports to the Global CMO. This individual will be part of a global team responsible for developing and scaling best-in-class content on behalf of Visa's marketing positioning and voice.
This individual will oversee the planning, management, and optimization of Visa's content across global social media platforms. This person should have a passion and experience in:
Deep understanding of audience targeting methods with a POV on how AI plays a role in insights and analytics
Content strategy and comms planning with an ability to deliver articulate vision for cross functional teams
Media buying and planning with a deep experience in digital and social media platforms
Experience building in-house buying teams with a point of view on best practices
B2C experience with large global brands that have extensive local networks and objectives
B2B experience in developing brand to demand campaigns with experience and expertise on LinkedIn
Experience partnering with CMOs, CFOs, CDOs and technology teams on strategies and expected outcomes
Bias toward experimentation and action to develop learning and thought leadership
Essential Functions:
Leading internal and external organizations through media transformations that advance our use of effective media
Develop the company's approach to using AI for media planning, buying and analysis
Manage agency of record and specialist agencies in delivering distribution across channels and platforms
Develop social media platform partnerships that unite the regions and global areas of focus
Introduce new content distribution strategies to organization that have disproportionate impact on reaching high impact audiences
Manage the execution of our global handle social media execution with internal and external teams
Build a data driven approach to content development and optimization with the internal and external teams
Foster a collaborative and innovative ecosystem that encourages transparency and creativity
Articulate thought leadership across the organization to executive leadership and cross functional teams
Manage and mentor a team and their career development
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
QualificationsBasic Qualifications:
12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience
15+ years' experience in strategic roles on the brand side managing digital and social media and content initiatives and collaborating with agency partners and cross-functional teams.
Experience as a senior agency leader and as a client side thought leader in media with a strong and recent track record in social media
Global brand, entertainment and cultural brand industry experience preferred
An influential and seasoned strategic leader with experience engaging and collaborating across complex global teams and local markets to deliver best-in-class content.
Proven record of implementing strategic initiatives, policies and operational decisions
You have a bias for action, not bureaucracy, and are able to act nimbly and quickly while rallying cross-functional teams and senior execs behind a shared vision.
An organized, independent, and deadline-driven individual with preferred experience in a large creative organization.
Must have proven ability to drive results with a high degree of personal initiative and leadership in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with limited resources.
Executive presence, strong written and oral communication, including large-group presentations
A thought-leader, change agent, and champion of developing new ways of working.
Must have strong leadership experience with a desire to mentor and grow teams.

This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 200,000 to 312,500 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
