Summary:The Books Studio defines the UX guidelines and design language (codified in our design system) that enables teams across Client Books to design high-quality, cohesive, on-brand Books shopping and reading experiences efficiently and at scale. We are looking for a Senior UX designer that enjoys building the design system that is utilized by designers and developers around the world. You love thinking about how the design framework and component work across different use cases (different screen sizes, languages, countries, etc.). You love collaborating with design and engineering teams with different business objectives and identifying the solution that can scale.
Basic Qualifications:7+ years industry experience providing interaction design solutions for web and/or software applications.Bachelor's or Master's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience.Fluency in best practices for web and app information architecture and design, as well as strong knowledge of usability principles and techniquesProficiency in a variety of design tools, with mastery of Figma as a hard requirement.A strong online portfolio demonstrating past work experience and relevant, user-centered design solutions is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills including the ability to communicate complex, interactive design concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization.Self-starter who is a customer-obsessed, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic team player.Ability to work with highly technical teams and handle multiple projects in an agile, fast-paced environment.Ability to prototype in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS, or After Effects highly desired.Experience working on design systemsHeavily prefer candidates with design system experience
Compensation:The pay rate range above is the base hourly pay range that Aditi Consulting reasonably expects to pay someone for this position (compensation may vary outside of this range depending on several factors, including but not limited to, a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, location and end client requirements).
