Our work depends on a TS/SCI cleared Technical Writer joining our team to support our intelligence customer in Springfield, VA.HOW A TECHNICAL WRITER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT As Technical Writer your activities will include the following:Support the Development Services Team in the development, revision, and delivery of technical documentation, program-related messaging, and customer deliverables.Collaborate across internal staff to obtain an in-depth understanding of technologies, products or services, and the documentation requirements.Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience.Create and edit easy-to-understand tutorials to help end-users operate a variety of applications.Analyze existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities.Support maintenance of the information architecture.WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE BA/BS and 2+ years of professional writing/editing experience or an equivalent combination of years of experience and education.REQUIRED SKILLS

Excellent written and oral skills in English.Knowledge of the principles and practices involved in technical research, writing, and editing.Research highly technical subject matter, organize information from multiple sources, and express technical information in written form that is comprehensible to a wide audience of readers.Apply concepts for technical writing based on engineering drawings, technical information from engineering documentation, consultations with engineers and subject matter experts, and other available sources.Demonstrated ability to be innovative in design and thought, when appropriate to meet business needs.Able to adapt to both changing business and client needs, and a changing technical environment.Outstanding time management – work within accelerated schedule timelines while delivering high-quality products to the customer.Knowledge of, and ability to use, various word-processing and desktop publishing software applications such as Microsoft Office.Use multiple word processing and presentation tools.Technical writing related to AI/ML capabilities.Previous experience writing to an Analysis of Alternatives (AoA).Demonstrated experience with NGA and mission partners.Must demonstrate success and comfort in working with a diverse workforce, working alongside technical professionals in various levels of expertise.DESIRED SKILLS

Demonstrated experience and knowledge of NGA and its Mission Partners, or within the Department of Defense (DoD).Ability to work independently – self-directed and in a collaborative team environment.Advanced knowledge of system design and analysis (infrastructure, DB, applications).Knowledge of configuration and/or programming of complex systems (infrastructure/database/applications).Experience in researching new technology, synthesizing information.Express information concisely to key stakeholders.Experience with markdown, web-enabled content (GitLab pages).
