The Technical Writer will focus on IT Process Documentation at Evolve Bank & Trust and play a critical role in creating and maintaining high-quality documentation that supports our IT processes, systems, and services. The Technical Writer will collaborate with IT teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that our technical documentation is accurate, comprehensive, and accessible to both internal teams and external partners.

Scroll down to find an indepth overview of this job, and what is expected of candidates Make an application by clicking on the Apply button.Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:Create, edit, and maintain IT process documentation including process flows, standard operating procedures (SOPs), technical manuals, API documentation, and knowledge base articles.Ensure that all documentation accurately reflects the current IT processes, systems, and services offered by our BaaS platform.Work closely with IT professionals, developers, systems architects, and product managers to gather information and understand technical requirements.Conduct interviews, review technical designs, and observe processes to collect detailed information for documentation.Develop detailed process diagrams, flowcharts, and visual aids to illustrate complex IT processes and service integrations.Utilize tools such as Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, or equivalent to create and maintain visual documentation.Review and validate documentation for technical accuracy, consistency, and alignment with organizational and industry standards.Implement feedback from stakeholders to improve documentation quality and usability.Provide documentation support for IT projects, including project plans, technical specifications, and post-implementation reviews.Assist in the creation of training materials and conduct training sessions for internal staff and external partners.Oversee the version control and lifecycle management of all documentation, ensuring timely updates and accurate records.Ensure that documentation aligns with regulatory and compliance requirements specific to the financial services industry.Act as a liaison between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders to ensure that documentation meets the needs of all parties involved.Translate complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly language for diverse audiences.Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in technical writing with a focus on IT process documentation, ideally in the financial services or banking sector.Proven experience in creating and managing IT process documentation, including process flows, SOPs, and technical manuals.Strong understanding of IT processes, systems, and services, with specific knowledge of BaaS platforms and financial technology.Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to convey complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.Proficiency in documentation tools and software such as Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Visio, or equivalent.Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
