We are seeking an experienced and innovative AWS Solutions Architect to help customers design and implement AI-powered workflows for biomolecule design. In this role, you will partner with life sciences organizations to architect scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud solutions on AWS that accelerate drug discovery and development. You will leverage AWS’s suite of AI and machine learning services, along with industry-specific tools, to enable customers to build, deploy, and optimize workflows for the design, analysis, and validation of biomolecules, such as proteins, enzymes, and antibodies.
The experience expected from applicants, as well as additional skills and qualifications needed for this job are listed below.As a key technical advisor, you will guide customers through the process of building cloud-native architectures that integrate AI/ML models with complex biological datasets. You will work closely with data scientists, computational biologists, and bioinformaticians to ensure the solutions meet both scientific and business objectives. Your role will also involve collaborating with internal AWS teams to refine and evolve best practices, ensuring the seamless adoption of AI-powered solutions in the field of biomolecule design.
Key job responsibilities
Design and implement cloud architectures that provide state of the art AI-driven biomolecule design workflows and results.Collaborate with life sciences customers to understand their specific challenges and tailor AWS solutions to their needs.Integrate AWS services for life sciences, such as AWS HealthOmics and Amazon SageMaker, with bioinformatics and biomolecule design tools and models.Provide technical guidance on security, scalability, and cost optimization for cloud solutions.Work closely with cross-functional AWS teams to support customer success and drive the adoption of AI-powered workflows in the life sciences.Stay current with industry trends in bioinformatics, computational biology, and AI, applying the latest innovations to customer projects.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalentExperience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences and at C-level, including training, workshops, publications10+ years of experience solving Life Sciences problems with applied computing (e.g. bioinformatics, computational chemistry, ML modeling, structure prediction, effect prediction, etc.)Knowledge of large scale automation and workflow management or equivalentKnowledge of presentations and whiteboarding skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with internal and external executives, IT management, and developersUp to date knowledge of AI models for Life Sciences, specifically Biological Foundation Models (BioFMs)

The base pay for this position ranges from $164,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $284,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
