Read the overview of this opportunity to understand what skills, including and relevant soft skills and software package proficiencies, are required.KMM Telecommunications is looking for a motivated and skilled Low Voltage/DC Technician to join our Team of Telecommunications Professionals in the Salt Lake City market, with travel to surrounding areas. Qualified candidates will have 6 or more years of low voltage/DC/battery installation experience, a valid driver license, and the willingness to work different shifts (swing shifts).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Install and configure low voltage systems, following manufacturer specifications, industry, and company standards.

Conduct testing, routine maintenance and quality assurance checks to verify the proper functioning of systems.

Ensure all installations meet safety, compliance, and company standards.

Create and maintain detailed records of all installations, as-built drawings, repairs, and maintenance activities.

Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working.

Identify potential safety hazards and take appropriate measures to mitigate risks.

Travel to various locations.

Job Requirements:

3 years of experience in the low-voltage industry/DC Equipment Installation.

Must have experience installing PDF’s and -48V Battery systems.

Ability to operate motorized lift equipment to maneuver, install or remove 80-750 lb. batteries.

Valid driver’s license.

Frequently pushing or pulling cables up to 60 lbs.

Frequently climbing ladders up to 8 ft.

Frequently working/standing on ladders for long periods of time.

Continuous standing.

Frequently reaching above, below or at shoulder level.

Frequently bending, twisting, or stooping.

Frequently crouching or squatting.

Be exposed to varying environments with moderate noise levels, nominal variations in heat and cold.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior field engineering experience.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Electrical degree, certificate, or apprenticeship.

AC Electrical experience.
