Reporting to the Managing Director of Strategic Initiatives, the Program Director, Content Marketing is responsible for producing original content for the University of Maryland Alumni Association. The Program Director will supervise the Alumni Marketing Coordinator and serve as a liaison with the Office of Marketing and Communications, working collaboratively to develop effective messaging strategies for the Association.

They will serve as the primary writer for the Association, producing high quality materials that support our marketing efforts, including but not limited to: event promotions, website copy, membership and philanthropic campaigns, remarks for senior staff, talking points for communications and feature stories highlighting noteworthy alumni and alumni programs. The Program Director will strategize ways to develop and implement new content and channels as a means of communicating the Alumni Association’s programs and services for alumni and the general university community.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated and creative, enjoys working collaboratively and independently, and can execute multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision and a high level of attention to detail.

This position will require occasional evening and weekend work, as needed.
