Pay Range: $45-50
This position provides repair dispositions and fabrication requirements for discrepant aircraft conditions discovered while performing aircraft maintenance, modification, repair, and overhaul. These discrepancies are normally outside the scope of contracted work and are considered Over & Above (O&A). O&A planners use engineering source documents to provide technical direction and references for technicians to execute necessary repairs. The O&A planner will also provide estimated labor budgets and required materials to perform repairs. Negotiations may be required when repair requirements are challenged by customers. O&A planners are expected to conduct spot checks of work documents with Operation's personnel for improvement opportunities. The O&A planner will be expected to execute liaison planner tasks to resolve planning document issues, provide reports, and process planning changes to support hangar floor and flight line operations.
Qualifications:Experience in the F-16 aviation/aircraft maintenance field.Strong understanding of contractual requirements to differentiate between basic and Over & Above work.Experience using MS Word, Excel, and Solumina.Ability to plan sequence of work, bringing excellent organizational and communication skills.Experience reading, writing, and interpreting aircraft engineering documents and drawingsAbility to provide accurate repair estimations for the aircraft.Experience using military technical manuals.Comfortable and experienced in direct customer interactions.
