Essential Functions:

Supervise and mentor discipline staff.

Responsible for recruiting, interviewing, and hiring discipline personnel.

Responsible for interfacing with HR and addressing personnel issues including disciplinary action and termination where required.

Conduct performance evaluations on staff personnel.

Maintains a competent staff of drafters, designers, and checkers capable of working on multi-disciplined projects.

Responsible for salary organization management for all drafting resources.

Responsible for assigning work and staffing with drafting resources.

Monitors drafting progress for all projects.

Audits drawings on a regular basis for adherence to standards.

Ensures all drawings are properly checked.

Evaluates new CAD software as it becomes available on the market.

Monitors, tracks, and ensures that all nonconformances identified within drafting are resolved satisfactorily.

Schedules "Lunch and Learns" to further educate those within Drafting.

Possesses an awareness of project schedule and budget.

Experience Required:

20+ years of experience.

Piping Design using AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant 3D, CADWorx, LEM, and CADPIPE.

Iso/Plan Generation using AutoCAD Plant 3D and CADWorx.

P&ID Isometric and Orthographic pick-ups using AutoCAD.

Obtain measurements/Shoot elevations in the field to ensure accurate piping design.

Working knowledge of 3D Laser Scanning.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Self-motivated, creative, organized, and solution advocate.

Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.

Experience Preferred:

Previous personnel management experience and skills preferred.

Piping/Mechanical field support to complete Construction/start-up.
