In this position you can expect to start on-site at the Denver Wastewater Management Building (2000 W. 3rd Ave., Denver 80223), Monday-Friday from 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM.Who We Are & What You’ll Do

The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure (DOTI), through its employees, enhances the quality of life in Denver by efficiently delivering effective, high quality, safe and equitable public infrastructure, and services.Wastewater Management oversees all aspects of wastewater functions, including the construction, operation, and maintenance of the City’s sanitary and storm sewer systems, as well as administrative functions such as implementing policies, establishing cost controls and setting fees to maintain a revenue base sufficient to support operational requirements and capital improvements program, and responding to customer inquiries regarding sewage and storm drainage service charges.Specifically, as the Wastewater Video Inspector III, you will:Conduct sanitary and storm sewer line inspections by operating and maintaining a remote controlled, self-propelled closed-circuit video camera, television monitoring screen, and other related equipment, and assist in determining the necessity for maintenance, repair, or replacement.Create audiovisual tapes that describe the condition of sanitary and storm sewer lines and record all pertinent data.Activate and adjust equipment controls for optimal results utilizing software that collects data and analyses and archives information.Perform maintenance and minor repair of camera and electronic equipment.Document inspection findings and forward to the appropriate division unit, and maintain records, reports, and files.Conduct inspections based on citizen complaints and requests from engineering staff.Maintain and perform minor repairs on audiovisual and other related equipment.Train, coach, and mentor Wastewater Video Inspector II’s.Act as the truck lead, inspector lead, and subject matter expert.Perform other related duties as assigned.What You’ll Bring

Our ideal candidate has some or all the following experience, skills, and characteristics:Experience in sanitary and storm water collection system maintenance and/or constructionInspection experience for infrastructure, trade work, and/or constructionSanitary and storm collection system inspection experience using a PACP (Pipe Assessment Certification Program) inspection softwarePACP Mainline Certified (Certification training and continued education hours provided)PACP Manhole Certified (Certification training and continued education hours provided)Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Ability to use hand toolsRequired Minimum Qualifications

Education requirement: Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC CertificateExperience Requirement: Three (3) years of experience involving electronic maintenance and repair in a sanitary/storm collection system.Education/Experience Equivalency: A combination of appropriate education and experience may be substituted for the minimum education and experience requirementsLicense/Certifications: Requires a valid Driver's License at the time of application; licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment.Application Deadline
