TLF’s Email, SMS, & Push Acquisition & Retention Specialist will be responsible for the day-to-day execution from conception to final execution and analysis of all SMS/MMS, email, web and app push, flows and campaigns leveraging best practice and growth-hacking techniques to develop new approaches to on and off-site customer leads and acquisition, while also ensuring the highest level of sales, customer engagement, retention, and CLV.

This position will be accountable for collaborating across various depts and teams in developing, planning, and implementing daily, weekly, and monthly campaign development, automated flows, and applying creative assets with a primary focus on meeting open and CTR, CRO, ROAS/ROI and revenue metrics and forecasts per channel; while reporting the corresponding data and KPI’s for these initiatives to the marketing department, leadership, and CEO on a daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly/ and annual basis.

This role requires a very strategic and creative thinker with excellent analytical skills to drive the day-to-day marketing initiatives, developing an extensive and well-planned marketing calendar that is cohesive across all platforms and channels and meets TLF’s brand aesthetics, voice, and messaging for all campaigns and flows.

POSITION ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE BELOW):

Campaign Development and Execution:

Design, build, and execute email, SMS, and push notification marketing campaigns and automated flows.

Develop segment-specific strategies to target different customer groups effectively.

Create engaging and personalized content to drive user engagement and conversion.

Develop top-of-funnel to bottom-of-funnel strategies to meet growth and revenue objectives.

Content Creation and Management:

Write compelling copy for email, SMS, and push notifications.

Design and format emails using templates and HTML/CSS when necessary.

Coordinate and collaborate with innovation & design, graphic designers, video production, brand management, and e-commerce teams to ensure visual content and messaging align with brand standards and campaign objectives and goals.

Audience Segmentation and Personalization:

Utilize customer data to segment audiences and personalize messages.

Implement A/B testing to optimize content, subject lines, send times, and layouts.

Monitor and analyze campaign performance to refine targeting and messaging strategies.

Analyze customer data to identify trends, pain points, and opportunities for improvement.

Segment customers based on behavior, preferences, and lifecycle stage to tailor retention efforts.

Analytics and Reporting:

Track and report on key metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, ROAS/ROI, CLV, and revenue forecasts and goals per channel.

Use data to make informed decisions and improve future campaigns.

Prepare regular performance reports for management and stakeholders.

Compliance and Best Practices:

Ensure all campaigns comply with relevant regulations (e.g., CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and DMARC).

Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in email, SMS, and push marketing.

Conduct regular audits of marketing processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.

Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with the marketing and e-commerce teams to align campaigns with the overall marketing strategy.

Collaborate with product, sales, and customer service teams to gather insights and feedback.

Communicate effectively with external vendors and service providers as needed.

Retention Strategy Development:

Develop and implement customer retention strategies and programs to increase customer loyalty and reduce churn.

Identify key touchpoints in the customer journey to enhance the overall customer experience.

Loyalty Program Development and Management:

Help suggest, design and implement customer loyalty programs that align with the company's goals and objectives.

Continuously evaluate and enhance loyalty program features to maximize customer engagement and satisfaction.

Rewards Strategy and Execution:

Develop and execute rewards strategies to incentivize desired customer behaviors and increase customer lifetime value.

Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to source and manage reward offerings.

Create and manage promotional campaigns to highlight loyalty and rewards programs.

Market Research and Trends:

Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor strategies, and emerging opportunities, and customer and competitor benchmarking.

Budget Management:

Manage acquisition budgets effectively to maximize return on investment.

Ensure all activities are conducted within budget constraints and financial goals.

Adjust acquisition strategies based on market insights and competitive analysis.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or a related field

Must have managed and personally published, executed, and optimized all email, SMS, and push campaigns and automated flows for a minimum of 7 years.

Highly proficient in email marketing and must have 3 recent years in using Klavyio

Highly proficient in SMS/MMS marketing and must have 3 recent years in using Postscript SMS/MMS Platform (or a similar platform)

Highly proficient in web browser push marketing and must have 3 recent years in using Aimtell, Pushowl (or a similar web browser push platform)

Must have 7 years of experience with apps and tools (i.e. Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Trends, Google Tag Manager, SEMrush, Triple Whale, Tapcart, Shopify, etc)

Must have no less than 5 recent year’s experience in D2C consumer marketing, full-funnel optimization

Strong Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments

Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in use of AI, ChatGTP, and emerging apps and technology

Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS for email design.

Excellent understanding of pixel implementation and tracking URL’s

Expert skills with Microsoft Excel (must be comfortable analyzing large quantities of data utilizing advanced Excel formulas)

Highly proficient in creating and presenting power point decks to depts and leadership

Experience with creative design and Web Design, UX/UI and video production

Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills

Proven record of business analysis-driven and fact-based decision-making

Highly productive and efficient with excellent time-management skills

Strong attention to detail, excellent organization skills, and ability to manage multiple projects/responsibilities through completion with minimal supervision

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to influence and persuade others with diplomacy and tact
