What You Will Do

The Director of Brand Engagement will lead Advocacy & Influence and Social Media Marketing for Lancôme (Makeup, Fragrances, and Skincare): develop, implement, monitor, and optimize the brand’s influencer marketing and social strategies, with the objectives to maximize brand awareness, consumer engagement, product desirability, and ecommerce revenues in our categories.

Job Duties and Accountabilities

Play a critical role in developing holistic social-first marketing plans to grow the Lancôme brand and an engaged Lancôme social community.

Develop and execute powerful A&I and social and community management programs to launch new products and support core pillars and brand key moments in a disruptive and locally relevant way to recruit new consumers and maintain loyalists.

Be the team’s quarterback of creativity – leverage tools, data, social platforms, and internal resources to help the team ideate around trends and move at the speed of culture to develop a social-first A&I and social content strategy that will break through the clutter and drive engagement and brand love. Creative skills and out-of-the-box thinking a must.

Optimize earned strategy around eventing, experiences, and mailers to propel the US A&I Share of Influence results to be a top beauty brand in Reach, Video Views, Impressions, and Engagement.

In partnership with the Media team, leverage the best A&I and social content in paid media to maximize reach and engagements.

In partnership with the brand’s D2C and eRetail teams, develop the right programs, activations, and contents to boost traffic and conversion to Lancome-use.com and our retailer’s websites.

Ability to work cross-functionally in a matrixed environment is a must - Brand Engagement, Media, Marketing, Retail/Sales, CDMO, Global Marketing (DMI).

Align strategies with the brand's global team to guarantee the consistency of the US plan vs the global brand vision while enabling the global team to understand our local specific needs.

Ability to manage and grow team talents, plus manage multiple agencies, vendors, and work with business partners on new innovations as well as best practices.

Financially savvy – must be able to manage budgets and demonstrate strong financial acumen.

Data-obsessed – Strong analytic skills is a must.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a true expert in social and digital landscape, with Influencer Marketing and Social Media Strategy and Content experience with a deep understanding of social platforms (specific emphasis on Tik Tok, Meta, and YouTube), beauty social trends, talent, and social analytics.

Must have rich knowledge of social platforms functionality (Tik Tok, Instagram, Meta, X Pinterest etc.) and be proficient with influencer marketing systems and social media platform measurement and social publishing and listening tools (Traackr, Rival IQ, Netbase, Sprinklr, etc).

Beauty experience is a plus, specifically makeup, fragrance, and/or skincare.

8-10 years experience in social media/digital marketing, influencer marketing, and integrated communications (PR and event strategy).

Bachelor’s degree in related field.

Attention to detail and high level of organization.

Experience managing budgets with moderate autonomy.

Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.

The role has a direct impact on the image and reputation of the brand in the US influencer space; we are looking for someone to advise on the Brand Engagement plans to help propel an aspirational image and recruit new consumers into the brand while maintaining our loyalists.

The job holder is accountable for creating content that delivers ROI and ROAS and driving community growth and engagement rate.
