Business Development/Architectural & Design (A&D)

As the Marketing Coordinator, you will identify, develop, oversee and promote the company to secure new business and relationships for American Design Associates throughout the region. You will serve as the ambassador for communicating American Design Associates product offerings and services. You will establish and maintain relationships with architectural firms and designers to promote the company. You will work in partnership with the executive and sales teams to ensure the company outreach efforts, including all social media, website, and industry platforms are accurate and updated.

Role & Responsibilities:

Develop extensive knowledge of American Design Associates’ products and services to effectively communicate our place within the market.

Plan, develop, and execute marketing efforts across various channels, including digital, print, and social media to increase sales. Monitor and analyze campaign performance, adjusting strategies as needed to optimize results and project opportunities.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as sales, and manufacturers to develop marketing initiatives and support outreach and joint event opportunities.

Develop, propose and deliver local A&D and client events at the American Design offices and at key locations throughout the region.

Plan and execute a developed strategy to increase sales by establishing key relationships with Architects, Designers and Owners/Developers.

Act as the primary point of contact for Architects & Designers seeking information regarding American Design Associates. Provide this market with insight into products and services offered to secure opportunities.

Drive new sales by effectively marketing American Design Associates as a resource to purchasing agents, buyers, facility managers and project managers.

Maintain strong relationships with external partners, vendors, and agencies.

Participate in relationship building industry events, trade shows, associations, affiliations etc.

Extensively network and research leads (businesses, real estate brokers, A&D, industry organizations, business journals, industry publications, internet).

Maintain accurate and relevant portfolio of American Design projects, solutions, and clients to reference as part of marketing campaigns. Develop tools to share customer experiences and product feedback along with statistics to spread knowledge of the American Design manufacturers’ portfolio.

Follow up on all leads generated that apply to architect and designer or end user as appropriate.

Initiate and track all opportunities utilizing outside resources and programs. Provide accurate monthly and quarterly reports on relationship development and forecast potential project involvement with A&D opportunities.

Attend or seek out training opportunities to support growth.

Manage marketing budget to maximize ROI and achieve goals.

Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, marketing conditions, and best practices in marketing.

Other duties as assigned.

Required Education:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, interior design, or similar.

Experience & Skills:

3+ years commercial furniture industry experience, design firm experience, marketing or similar.

Digital marketing & social media management experience.

Exceptional interpersonal skills, attention to detail, presentation and public speaking in addition to being a great listener.

Ability to learn and understand industry technology, as well as the client experience and project outcomes.

Proficient skills in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Desire to work in a collaborative, innovative, and team-oriented environment.

Job Type & Schedule:

Full-time

8-hour shift

Monday to Friday 8:30 – 5:00 p.m.

Weekends & evenings are possible for outreach and events.
