As a

Mechanical CAD Designer , you will be a viable member of a team focused on building high-quality, state-of-the-art passenger trains.

Key ActivitiesCreate 3D models of components and assemblies in close coordination with EngineeringCreate professional 2D engineering drawings of parts and assemblies in accordance with company procedure, ASME Y14.5 and ISO 2768 standards, and client requirementsMeticulously review and redline of colleagues’ models and drawings, as assignedCarry out revision control and maintenance of technical documentation within the PLM systemRevise parts, assemblies, and technical drawings in accordance with change control protocol and as instructed and approved by EngineeringCommunicate reliably with suppliers regarding CAD data transfers, model/drawing updates, technical questions, etc.Actively contribute to the ongoing improvement of the design processMentorship and development of younger Mechanical CAD DesignersQualificationsTechnical degree in Mechanical Design, Drafting or similarMinimum 5 years of proven experience in an Engineering Designer role or similarExcellent communication skills and ability to coordinate with multiple departments within the companyExpertise in 3D modeling/2D drawing software (CATIA V5 experience preferred)Expertise in PDM/PLM software (SmarTeam experience preferred)Able to work in fast-paced, collaborative environmentDetail-orientedSelf-motivated personality for identifying issues, improvements and actively providing supportTechnical writing skills (MS Office)What We OfferStadler US employee benefits package includes:401(k) with employer match after 90 daysGenerous Paid Time Off / 10 Paid Holidays / Extended Paid Holiday (Dec. 25 - Jan 1)Tuition and training reimbursementPaid maternity and parental leaveCompany-paid life and disability insuranceStadler US is an Equal Opportunity Employer
