Want to apply Read all the information about this position below, then hit the apply button.Benefits/Perks:Competitive Pay (Range from $23 - 27/hr)Paid Vacation and Holiday (for FTEs after 1 year of service)Ongoing Training Opportunities (Initial 2 week paid training opportunity in Dallas, TX)A Successful FASTSIGNS Sign Production Specialist/Graphic Designer Will:Create computer-generated full-color graphics and/or vinyl output that can be printed and mounted to a substrate or weeded, cut and appliedComplete or modify designs from customer drawings, files, or exact output of customer-provided design for output to mediaFollow a layout to place computer-cut vinyl or full-color graphic image(s) on a predetermined substrate or mediumPrepare substrates for vinyl application to include cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning, etc.Weed excess vinyl from computer-cut images. Weeding techniques vary with size, type of vinyl, and complexity of imagesOperate and maintain printer(s)Perform quality assurance measures pre- and post-production by accurately reading and interpreting a Work Order and then proofing for errors or unacceptable standardsPerform finishing operations such as laminating and/or mounting of printed piecesDetermine size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, select style and size of type, and arrange layout based upon available space, aesthetic design, and production requirements.Inspect jobs for accuracy before sending them to output. Ensure correct material is used for each job and output device settings are accurateMaintain customer logo library; convert graphic filesReport inventory levels and stock to be reordered to the center manager/production manager or franchisee.Clean and maintain storage areasIdeal Qualifications for FASTSIGNS Sign Production/Graphic Designer Specialist:2-3 years of experience in sign production preferred2-3 years of graphic design experienceProficient in Adobe IllustratorHigh school diploma or equivalentAbility to stand for long periods of time (4 hours or more)Sit and view a computer screen for long periods (4 hours or more)Ability to lift 50 or more poundsAbility to use a ladder for installations up to 8 feet highFlexibility to lean over a waist-high table and use back and forth hand motion to apply vinyl letters and graphics to a substrateAbility to work under pressure to output high volume, high-quality workAbility to use light power equipmentDo you enjoy working with people?
