The Technical Writer (Validation Documentation) for Weiler Labeling Systems is responsible for the creation of documentation necessary for the validation of machinery we supply to our customers in the pharmaceutical industry. For over 30 years, Weiler Labeling Systems (WLS) has been designing, manufacturing, integrating and supporting some of the most sophisticated and advanced rotary and in-line labeling solutions in the marketplace.

Our top clients include some of the largest Pharmaceutical manufacturers in the United States and beyond.

Create all support documents for validation of the equipment based on a customer supplied User Requirements Specification – including:

Functional Design Specification

Hardware Design Specification

Software Design Specification

Factory Acceptance Test (FAT)

Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (FMEA)

Traceability Matrix

Installation Qualification / Operational Qualification documents

Interface with the mechanical, electrical, and software engineering groups, as well as sales staff and customers, to fully understand the scope of projects

Participate in pre-FAT activities to verify all machine tests are written properly and the machine functions as described

Bachelor’s Degree required

3+ years of technical writing experience

Writing experience for the pharmaceutical industry preferred

Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications – including Word and Excel

Excellent technical writing skills with the ability to efficiently create technically accurate documents.

Highly attentive to grammar, spelling, and punctuation.

Proficiency with Microsoft Word formatting functions.

Ability to work independently with limited day-to-day supervision.

Ability to read electrical schematics, pneumatic schematics, and mechanical assembly drawings.
