In the role of Aviation Design Coordinator, we'll count on you to:Be aware of FAA Orders and Advisory Circulars (AC), UFC requirements, local agency requirements, and client manualsIn addition to general FAA requirements, be informed of at least one specialty element (e.g., pavement, drainage, lighting, signage, etc.)Be involved with the HDR Airfield Design Community of Practice (CoP)Basic use of AutoCAD Civil 3D (or similar design software) and introduction to AVI-Plan software packagesWith direction, prepare elements of aviation related designs, studies and/or reportsCompile project records / maintain SharePoint sites, project files, etc.Maintain an updated resumePerform other duties as neededPreferred Qualifications

Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate. Candidates without their EIT will be titled 'Aviation/Civil Designer' and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progressionLocal candidates preferredRequired Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil EngineeringInterest or experience designing general aviation, commercial service and/or Military airfieldsBasic use of AutoCAD Civil 3D (or similar design software) and introduction to AVI-Plan software packagesMust be able to work in a team environmentAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
