Oxford Solutions currently has a client seeking a skilled Piping Designer to join their team. As a Piping Designer, you will be contributing to the development of complex piping systems and ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
The information below covers the role requirements, expected candidate experience, and accompanying qualifications.Responsibilities:Develop detailed piping designs, layouts, and drawings using 3D modeling software such as Smartplant, AutoPlant, and CadWorx.Collaborate with engineers and senior designers to create efficient and cost-effective piping solutions.Ensure designs adhere to project objectives, technical guidelines, and safety standards.Conduct site visits and participate in design reviews to verify constructability and identify potential issues.Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to coordinate design activities and resolve technical queries.
Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.Demonstrated experience in piping design within an industrial setting.Proficiency in 3D piping design software including Smartplant, AutoPlant, and/or CadWorx.Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (ASME, ANSI, API, etc.).Proven track record of delivering piping design projects on time and within budget.Strong understanding of industrial piping systems and components.Experience in steel, chemical, petrochemical, or power industries.Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and diagrams.Good communication skills to interact effectively within multidisciplinary teams and with clients.Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality in design work.Willingness to learn and be mentored by senior designers and engineers.
