Job Title: Events Marketing Manager

Employment Type: Full Time, at will

Department: Enrollment Marketing & Communications

Location: Remote

Travel/Schedule: 40 hours per week or more as needed. Planning of events is done remotely, but in-person attendance will be necessary for many events. May include up to 50% travel and some weekends and evenings to cover in-person events.

Job Description

The Events Marketing Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing marketing initiatives for events and creating event experiences to promote Acceleration Academies. This includes, but is not limited to: academy graduation ceremonies, ribbon cuttings, grand openings, academy recruitment events, conference meetings, workshops, group dinner reservations, speaking engagements, and board meetings. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational skills, creativity, and a keen eye for detail to ensure that each event exceeds expectations and is promoted effectively to the target audience.

Job Responsibilities

-Event Planning and Coordination:

Develop and maintain event dates and timelines, budgets, and checklists to ensure seamless execution.Liaise with academy directors and RVPs, school districts, local academy staff, internal and external stakeholders, and outside venues to coordinate logistics and obtain required materials and services.Oversee event setup, including invitations, programs, signage, seating arrangements, audiovisual equipment, and decorations, to create engaging and professional atmospheres.Plan, organize, and execute corporate events, including conferences, trade shows, and product launchesOrder initial marketing and promotion supplies for new academy implementations.Plan and execute zoom "events" such as online celebrations for the network or companyEnsure expenses stay within budget.Other duties as assigned.-Vendor Management:

Identify, negotiate with, and manage relationships with vendors, including printers, promotional products, caterers, audiovisual technicians, and transportation providers, to ensure high-quality services within budget constraints.Coordinate vendor contracts, payments, and deliverables to ensure adherence to agreed-upon terms and timelines.-Attendee Coordination:

Create invitations and manage event registrations/RSVPs.Ensure a positive and memorable experience for attendees by providing exceptional customer service and addressing any issues or concerns promptly and effectively.Create event programs that are consistent across academies.Coordinate and obtain approval of public speeches/presentations.-Communication and Promotion:

Communicate with academy directors for event details including final graduate names and event details.Create promotional invitations, programs, and other event materials to effectively promote attendance and engagement in events. Work in collaboration with the marketing team to ensure brand efficacy.Coordinate with the marketing and communications team to utilize various communication channels, including social media, email marketing, and press releases, to generate excitement and awareness about upcoming events.Serve as the communication point for external vendors and academy and network staff, as well as the interface for all other lines of business involved in the project.Oversee on-site event setup, print and ship collateral and items for events, follow up event communication, create event setup forms.Other duties as assigned.-Post-Event Evaluation:

Conduct post-event evaluations to assess event success, gather feedback from attendees, and identify areas for improvement.Analyze event metrics, such as attendance numbers and marketing/PR results to measure the effectiveness of event strategies and make data-driven recommendations for future events.Job Requirements & Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in event management, hospitality, marketing, or a related field preferred.Experience: 4+ years of proven experience in event planning and management, with a track record of executing successful events of varying scales and formats, including virtual events (e.g., via Zoom)Tech Skills: Experience creating digital and printed material in Canva. Adobe Creative Cloud skills (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat) are a plus. Proficiency in event/project management software such as monday.com.
